We are commencing a new short sermon series based on 1 Corinthians 15.

In this chapter of the bible, Paul engages in a long discussion about resurrection. It is probably the longest sustained treatment of the subject in the New Testament. Paul says it is central, vital and hopeful that Jesus is risen.

There is a point where Paul says, “If Christ has not been raised, then…….” and spells out how bad that would be.

Then in verse 20 Paul says, “but Christ has indeed been raised……” and spells out the cosmic implications of this. (Spoiler alert: it is really good news).

The resurrection is a victory that Jesus won for us. It is a promised gift to us through faith in Jesus. It is unbelievably (?) good news.
