Stain Removal

I got bitten by a leech while on a bush walk and it was several hours before I found out.  When I got home and took my shoes off, I found I had a leech as big as my second toe. In removing it I got blood all over the carpet – it looked like a murder scene. How do you remove blood from a carpet? I knew salt removed red wine, but blood?  I also knew that the wrong stain remover makes the stain worse. I rang a parishioner who was a forensic police officer and he recommended shampoo.  It worked a treat.

How do you remove stains from your life? Do you ignore them; eat them away with food; dissolve them with fun; wash away with alcohol? The wrong solvent makes the stain worse. Christians use faith in Jesus.

Faith in Jesus as Lord makes us right with God; gives us a fresh perspective; and guarantees our eternal future.

9 Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! People that sleep around, worship objects, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, 10 thieves, the greedy, drunkards, slanderers, thieves – none of these will inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And this is what some of you used to be. But you were washed, you were set apart, you were made right in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

I highly recommend faith in Jesus as He has saved me from my past. He teaches me to be responsible in the present as I strive for and focus on who I could be and should be for Him.
